About Me
Hi, I’m Sinead, the groomer behind Woof & Washh, a Level 3 qualified one-to-one dog groomer based in Coventry. I’ve always loved animals, but dogs have truly had my heart for as long as I can remember.
I have my own dog, who is my absolute world. He’s a nervous boy, and caring for him opened my eyes to how overwhelming traditional grooming environments can be for some dogs. That’s what inspired me to specialise in one-to-one grooming — because every dog deserves to look and feel great without fear or stress.
At Woof & Washh, I provide a calm, quiet, and stress-free grooming experience, with no cages and no overlapping appointments. Your dog gets my full attention from start to finish, allowing them to relax, build trust, and feel safe throughout their groom.
Your dog’s comfort, happiness, and overall wellbeing are always my top priority. I treat every dog as if they were my own, tailoring each groom to suit their individual needs and personality.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Appointments are necessary to ensure every dog gets the time they deserve. However, if you need a last-minute slot, please call or message! I’ll always do my best to fit you in on the day if possible.
-
Usually, it’s best to drop off and pick up later. Dogs tend to be more relaxed when they aren't distracted by their owners. However, if your dog is particularly nervous or you'd prefer to stay for the first time, you are more than welcome.
-
It depends on your dog’s size, coat, and behavior. A small, short-haired breed may take 45 minutes, while a larger breed like a Spaniel can take up to 2.5 hours. For most dogs, a visit every 6–8 weeks is recommended to keep their coat in top condition.
-
Your dog’s happiness is my priority. For anxious or elderly dogs, we work at their pace—I can even groom them on the floor or split the session over two days at no extra cost. If your dog is aggressive, please let me know in advance; I may ask for them to be muzzled or for you to stay during the appointment.
-
Puppies can start their grooming journey from 12 weeks old. It’s a great idea to start young so they get used to being handled and pampered in a calm environment, and I love the cuddles!
-
Please give your dog a walk beforehand to release energy and ensure they’ve had a chance to empty their bowels. Arriving a few minutes early to let them sniff around and settle after the car journey also helps keep the experience stress-free.

Yes! I am Level 3 City & Guilds qualified and fully insured. I also hold a dog first-aid certificate. In the unlikely event of an emergency, I will contact you immediately and, if necessary, take your pet to your preferred vet.
-
To keep all our furry clients safe, dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations. If your dog has sensitive skin or a specific medical condition, please let me know when booking so I can use our specialised Lavender and Jasmine soothing shampoo.
